Some of you who’ve known me online for a while know that a wonderful woman named Jenna and I developed and ran a site called Choosing Home, a ministry dedicated to supporting and encouraging women who saw the homefront as their calling. I’ve stepped down from my “post” there, but not from the friendships made – with her or with the other wonderful women we met and worked with there.
Jenna, through a miraculous touch, is now expecting a baby. You can read a little bit of her story here, to know just how much this pregnancy means. A letter to the new baby is right here, and here’s a taste (and here) of what it’s like to mother a wee one when you have the ever-present knowledge that your body tends to expel babies…sort of a joy that’s always on edge.
All this to say that we, the six women that made up the former CHblog team, are having a (surprise) baby shower (cyber style) for Jenna! We’re each sending her a postal baby-shower box, because we just can’t help it (…must…give…baby…stuff…), but we’re not asking you to participate in that (well, unless you really want to). Holly writes here (full of great baby-ish links), Dawn gets down with baby books right here, Ann shares from the Scriptures here, and the party is on over at the ChoosingHome blog, with Dawn’s Welcome-to-the-Baby-Shower post here, and Lynn’s party recipes (girlfriend can COOK) will be soon to follow. For those of you who know Jenna, feel free to spread the word! Especially because Jenna keeps pretty quiet and behind-the-scenes, making it especially fun to put her on center stage! (Muhahaha)…
In the meantime, will you share a warm congratulations with Jenna in this Comments Box? If you have a Scripture or a prayer for Jenna that you find the Spirit impressing upon you, please feel welcome to share that, too. And, Jenna? Know that people the world over are praying for that little gift from God in your womb!

As a fellow pre-termer, I pray for you often, I ask God to hold your cervix (is that ok?
) and to grow baby perfectly, and to give you peace, and patience and courage…
The pictures ARE beautiful!! Psalm 139… this baby boy… fearfully, and wonderfully made!!! This has been, and is my pregancy Psalm.

You inspire me! I am praying for you and the new babe. I pray that God will go ahead of you and provide for you everything He knows you need. I pray for your health and for Ezra’s health. (BTW, I love the name, love it!) I pray peace–and joy for your whole family.
