Eternal Subordination Within the Trinity ?

This morning I posted over at Complegalitarian Blog, in response to a CBMW blog post that really bothered me.  If you’re a nerd like me and find these sorts of things interesting, come join the conversation.

love of man, love of God

Edit to Add: these were thoughts penned in the middle of The Autobiography of Bertrand Russell, which was a good book, really, and very interesting. It wasn’t his fault that I wrote the poem below—I suppose I am fairly ripe, with or without his autobiography, to muse on how humans tend to swirl around [...]

Is Loving Yahweh Enough, (or Do I Have to Love Him the Way They Say I Do)?

This is an example of the kind of preaching/teaching that makes me want to throw up.   And laugh.  Loudly.

But the way I found that funny little clip (Real men “piss against the wall,” and the problem with America is that men aren’t pissing from an upright position anymore!  Sheesh, why aren’t people reading the KJV [...]

The King and I…Cometh!

The Big Bad Play is about to begin.  My daughter, Judah, is doing a great job as one of the royal children.  I’d love to tell you how brimming with confidence I am about the role of Tuptim, but, er, that would be lying.  An article about the upcoming production (with a pic of me) [...]

The Former “Biblical Patriarchalist” Muses on Gender Roles and Christ…

It is fair to say that these women, on the one hand, [...]

I enjoyed this post by Et Tu?.  I think she helps explain the legitimate need for community in the life of a stay-home [...]

I Used to be Feminist/Egalitarian, But then Patriarchy Saved Me…

[This comment of mine, turned blog-post, comes from this excellent and interesting conversation here].
When I was patriarchal, I *claimed* I was previously an egalitarian [and/or feminist] prior to becoming patriarchal. In fact, that was part of my “testimony.” It went something like,
Prior to being patriarchal, I was selfish and disrespectful and a lousy partner. [...]

Depth of Intimacy in Relationships (Heirarchal vs. Equal)

FYI: The recent discussion here provoked a post out of me, over at Complegalitarian Blog…

General Ranting on Gender Roles being EXPECTATIONS, not FACTS

I am studying for a Psychology of Adolescence test, and just read the definition of gender:
”The sociocultural and psychological dimensions of being male or female.  Gender roles are defined as a set of expectations that prescribe how females and males should think, act, and feel.”
Which immediately makes me think of CBMW’s much touted definitions for [...]
