The Big Bad Play is about to begin. My daughter, Judah, is doing a great job as one of the royal children. I’d love to tell you how brimming with confidence I am about the role of Tuptim, but, er, that would be lying. An article about the upcoming production (with a pic of me) is here. I’d wax on, but my quivering fingers are making it hard to type…

Molly, Was it last night that it opened??? You’ll have someone record some of it and post it, right??? (The correct answer is, “Sure! What a great idea!”

Leah’s son is one of the principle actors and he did SO great (he plays Louis, Anna’s son).
He’s SUCH a cute guy!
.
I am glad last night is over with. Now, to get tonight behind me…

It went SO good last night!
For those of you interested, last night (Thursday) was sort of a “pre-show” performance. It was our final dress rehearsal, so the director decided to open the auditorium to friends and families of the actors. I was surprised at how many people came! LOTS! So it was great practice for everyone on stage to be performing in front of people, but with less pressure than tonight will bring.
.
So tonight is the “real” opening night. Molly is doing an amazing job with her part, and she truly has the voice of an angel! My son is having a great time being in the show, too, and of course I think he’s wonderful at his part.
.
Wish you friends could be there!

(and I get to play an attendant to Tuptim)

I thought it wasn’t showing until next weekend?
I want to take dd to it. Do you think a 6 1/2 yr old would be interested enough? How long does it last, beginning to end?
Posted by molleth on February 22, 2008 at 3:15 pm
It’s long…about 3 hours…
It would be fun to see you and wait on your every whim. *grins*
My kids are enthralled, but then again, they’ve been to so many practices these past two months that they’re fairly familiar with the story, so it’s interesting to them. I don’t know how your cutie would fare. There is an intermission in the middle for snacks and stuff, but… ?
.
It’s this weekend and the next. I’m serving at one of the tables next week at the tea thing, so if you go to that with Sophie, be sure and ask for my table!

Your spectacular as Tumtim! Judah is doing a great job also, especially after the quick switch they gave to her last night!! This is soooo fun I’m loving it! The whole cast is incredible
