Likely Of Interest Only To Women Who Were Once Patrio-Centric…

Everyone else can just ignore this.  :)

If you are a woman who was or is deconstructing from a patriarchal model such as Vision Forum, Debi Pearl’s CTBHH, or a similar venue, and would like to have conversation with other women who love Jesus but don’t see the VF-ideal as God’s ideal, or if you are someone who has been watching this movement with fascination and/or has family members or friends who’ve been affected by it, or are otherwise interested, I would like to invite you to come and join us at a brand-new discussion forum, WWFconversation

This forum, by the way, is not in any way to take away from the GREAT conversations going on at True Womanhood or the WWF group blog or any other places in cyberspace that are talking about these issues and helping those leaving the patrio camps.  WWFconversations is just another addition to them.  The more, the merrier, in my opinion.   One can never have too much light.

  1. Cool! I just registered.

  2. woohooo…
Thanks Molly! I haven’t had a chance to catch up on the thread for like three days now, and I am so lost. A bit overwhelmed…the forum will be wonderful!

  3. Okay, I”m so interested in this just for my own information. I haven’t been involved personally but just love to read and understand (since I was taught patriarchal submission as a kid growing up). Do you think it would be okay for me to just read and not discuss? I don’t want to step on any toes. Let me know Molly. Thanks!

  4. Rachel, I can’t speak for Molly of course but I can tell you I am a member over at those boards and have never been personally involved in patriocentric teachings. Even so, I still welcome the chance to participate and learn and generally read the posts, as you put it, for my own information. It is sobering to realise what some of these ladies have been through, and I find I learn a lot from them just by listening :)

  5. Absolutely, Rachel. :)
    (Thanks, Andrea)…

  6. Thanks very much! ;)

I was once caught up in a patriarchal church (SGM church,) and one of the nicest things they ever did was kick me the hell out.

Seriously, they call themselves complimentarian, but that means the wife is submissive, the problem is always the wife isn’t submissive enough.

You really have little hope if you happen to be female and have a strong personality.

Thankfully, I was able to get rid of the bathwater (the patriarchy,) and keep the sweet baby (Christianity.)

Oh, I just started my own humble little blog, I think my name will link to it now.

I’m really enjoying reading your posts.
